Aude Sapere

I did it. My first Homework returned with all good comments. What a relief. I have not done homework since well, lets not say. I should have more faith in myself.

But here's the thing; Dare to know. If you scroll to the bottom of the blog you will see this in Latin, "Aude Sapere". I had to dare myself to see if I could do my homework, I had already asked myself if I could do this study thing. And I did; read more than I was suppose to, over did my homework into the next lessons. I enjoying every single second of it when I did not fret about if I was doing it right. The director of LASH asked me back in the spring if "doubt" was an issue of mine and I laughed. Of course, but who doesn't? Now I see, it's all a part of who I am that continues to evolve and change.

A few years ago, one of the very first things I painted was this set of flowers, I had no idea what I was doing, I just painted, I dared myself to try!
I read in one of my textbooks (Lecturers on the Homeopathic Philosophy) last night and want to share with you this:

"The life substance within the body is the vice-agent of the soul, and the soul in turn is also a simple substance. All that there is of the soul operates and exists within every part of the human body, and thus it is that simple substance that acts as a vital force. The soul adapts the human body to all it's purposes, the higher purposes of it's being.  The Simple substance when it exists in the living human body keeps the body animated, keeps it moving, perfects its uses, superintends all parts and at the same time keeps the operation of mind and will in order.  Let any disturbance occur in the vital substance and we see how suddenly inco-ordination will come. There is a harmonious co-operation when the vital substance is continued in it's normal quality; that is, in health what is more perfect than the human body in health, and what evidence have we of any greater wreck than the human body when it is not in health." keep moving, dare to know
