ledum palustre

Ledum palustre is a beautiful plant commonly known as Marsh Tea but sometimes called Wild Rosemary. It is from the Ericaceae family, and of course the Plant Kingdom. In the Materia Medica, and Repertory, this plant remedy is abbreviated as Led.
Ledum is a 1st aid pain remedy for crushing, smashed injuries where wounds are caused by sharp objects and remembering Arnica that I did a post on a few weeks ago, is for contusions and muscle injury. Simple but subtle differences can make the difference in how these plants in remedy form can make the pain go away and heal you faster more effectively than taking a pain reliever from the drug store.  It is definitely one of the remedy's any family member could keep on hand. This remedy would be taken orally.
Bruising from deep trauma due to crushing, smashed injury, purpura, localized, feels cold to touch, no bleed but internal bleed possible, puncture wounds, sharp objects, like a nail. Smashed as in toe, fingers, like jamming your finger in the car door or with a black eye or blow to eye that I am hoping would never be the case unless of a car accident incident and not violence.
Intense coldness is a red thread of this remedy when your injury feels cold to the touch but should feel warm. Can be followed after Arnica when bruises turn black.  Skin remains in tack, anti tetanic, anti rabid, insect bites, spider bites, mosquito , poison oak to mention a few.
Amelioration from > better for cold applications, rest
Aggravated by < worse for moving, night and heat

This plant is so pretty and I have seen it through my life but had no idea how medicinal it would become after triturated, succussed and then potentized to become a remedy. Nature everyday keeps teaching me how it's all so simple.

marsh tea can make your day
