Wednesday's Remedy

Today, a remedy instead of a word, where it is grown and how well it works when put to use where indicated. I present to you the lovely Belladonna <3
Belladonna also known as Deadly Nightshade is a perennial herbaceous plant in the family name of Solanaceae that compares with tomatoes, eggplant, potato, and tobacco nightshade types. Belladonna is native to Europe, North Africa and Western Asia but is grown in North America for its beauty but also considered a weed. Grown in limestone rich soils, moist locations and with shade. It must be well drained without a huge amount of direct sunlight. Where you find this plant, there will be water close by. The plants foliage and berries are extremely toxic which cause delirium and hallucinations and can be lethal. It grows as a branching, leafy stem sometimes known as a sub shrub with a fleshy rootstock. They can grow up to almost 5 feet tall. The flower is bell shaped and has a faint smell. The berries are sweet and are eaten by animals in the wild but would be considered deadly for domestics. BUT Belladonna made into a remedy is brilliant for the "come on fast" high fever, that gives you the enlarged pupils with glossy eyes. That sometimes, delirious feeling, causing hallucinations, as in the "like treat like" principles of Homeopathy, treating your violent fever and onset of this cold will successfully get you to safety. It is also a great remedy for small children. The kind of cold that makes you hot, red and flushed. These symptoms are violent and acute, the cold that leads to settling in the ears. The pain you feel in your head that is throbbing and pulsing, sinusitis, or painful migraines. The use of Belladonna after the fast onset cold that you get from experiencing shock with cold and a fever making the need for Aconitum Napellus ( I plan to write about next ), work well together. Aconite at first sign of the onset, using Belladonna for the fast very high fever. You won't need Belladonna for long but to bring down that fever. Strangely enough, although with this violent onset, you are likely not interested in much but lemonade, often begins on your right side and you might see a strawberry speckled tongue.
I fell in love with the painting that represents Belladonna. I found it some time ago and now I can't find it again to put the link with it so I hope that whomever did this shares in the innocence of it all.
Akwi just had both her little ones get hit with the flu and cold symptoms this last few days, and I was showing her my draft, she wrote back; "yes please use that as I know it works when indicated". Spoken like a seasoned Mental Bon Bon!
