wednesday's word

Today, not a word but a remedy for a switch. This weekend included a Monday field trip to the Boiron Laboratory. It was an incredible and a rare opportunity to help us deeply understand the process, commitment and integrity of the Healing Art of Homeopathy in which Boiron embraced founded by two brothers, Henri and Jean Borion in 1932. This company remains family owned and it was clear that they have very high standards for all aspects of Homeopathy and the family of employees. You can see for yourself about the company originating in France by going to this link: http://www.boironusa.com/

Apis mellifera ~ Apis is the abbreviation for this great first aid remedy used for rapid but short lasting action in healing, anti-inflammatory concerns. It comes from the Apidae family. Commonly known as the "honey bee" as it is made from and belongs in the animal/insect family.
If you get bee stings, experience hives, allergic reactions, meningitis, hives, allergic reactions, meningitis, kidney issues or swelling of any type, urine that becomes painful, prostate issues, vaginitis, and balanitis. General edema spreading to mucus membranes, eyes, lips and the epiglottis; Apis could be your quick fix but not necessarily your long term solution to more chronic issues. These types of symptoms are made worse by heat and itching at night but can be relieved and are better for applications of a cold compress or open air. This remedy is a great acute medicine. However, Apis can be considered as a constitutional remedy but that will be in another post for another day.
